BioI've worked in software development since 1982. The first six years were in scientific research, then 20 in automotive software development. Now I work as a programme manager for the British Library, which is a heap of fun.
Until 1998, when I got a job in Yorkshire, I was based around Oxford and Reading; now I live near York. Thank heavens for God's County.
I'm married, have two stepchildren who have long since left home, and a big, bouncy, soppy, daft dog called Maybe (born 11/11/2004).
Away from work, my main interest is music. Hearing it, seeing live bands, playing it (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin) - though that's only to myself, these days.
